Subway Surfers Osaka is the 199th World Tour update of Subway Surfers, released on April 23, 2025. It marks the first time the series officially visits Osaka and becomes the sixth update of 2025. This edition introduces two new Osaka surfers, Oni Hime and Saru, along with fresh content including new outfits, boards, challenges, and music updates. As the 16th World Tour set in Asia and the second city edition in Japan after Tokyo Osaka brings a strong regional focus with seasonal events and themed rewards.
The update adds Oni Hime and Saru as playable characters. Thunder receives a new Urban Hero outfit, while Saru gets a Kyaputen outfit. Three new Osaka-themed boards join the lineup: Trespasser (with Super Jump and Smooth Drift upgrades), Mizu Dash (with Super Speed), and Zapline. The Season Hunt token for this edition is the Koi (Osaka 2025 Token). For some players, this update also introduces version 4.0 and the Surfers Pass system, replacing the previous Season Hunt format.
